Board Member: Annie Abbott
Annie Abbott is the newest member of Square Pegs, taking on the role of Treasurer. She is a qualified Accountant working in Project Management with Communities Tasmania, partnering with organisations to deliver affordable housing for all Tasmanians.
“My daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia a few years ago and the Square Pegs website was recommended to me by a friend. It was a great source of information and I am proud to now be part of the team.
Square Pegs offers practical information for those navigating the school system with dyslexic children, but its main superpower is providing access to a community of mums and dads who have travelled down the path before. Sharing stories and having an understanding ear is the best way to empower others navigating their way through their dyslexic child’s education.
I look forward to being part of that community as my daughter and I face the new challenges of high school from 2021.”
